I bought a Fram filter. It's an air filter. This thing isn't junk like the oil filter--is it?

If you want more air, go aftermarket. If you want cleanest air tests I've seen on TDP show AC Delco to do the best job of filtration.

Thank you. Very interesting. This Fram does have the epoxy though. I did have a air filter collapse on my last Duramax. Thought it was because it was dirty, but had only 20K on it. Anybody else have a filter collapse?

I am running a WIX and it doesn't have the epoxy or has the collapse problem. I replaced it with another WIX before I read the story. I don't think I will change because of the technotes. The technotes has solved some questions that I had in the past.
