just another thought of added info
on a new engine before switching to Red line be sure it is well broke in. When I originally called Red line of a mileage to put the oil in, they left it up to me since there is so many factors to how long it my take for the rings to seat.
I switched over at 24000 km and have no oil consumption problems.
