Anyone know how many microns the ac delco fuel filter is for the duramax?

They are supposed to be 2, but past testing has shown they let about 47% of 5 micron thru. Don't know about the new ones. They are all made by Parker regardless of the box.

Poor enough that the filter was revised 3 times now. Giving a micron rating is only PART of the spec. The beta ratio, or how efficent the filter is at this level is the big key. That said, even a 5 micron absolute will allow particles over 5-10 microns to pass. The key is multipass which is what the latest filter design incorporates. Adding a hiogh efficiency auxilliary filter like my Mega filter will help even further...


PS as stated above, regardless of the ink on the can they are all made by the same mfr.
