Chips/Programmers 2005 Duramax

I have been reading the forums and everyone seems to be gaining HP and milage, however does anyone have any info on injector life? How does this affect it? Considering chiping, but if I blow out the injectors no increase in milage will pay for a new set (if dealer doesnt fix it).

If you're a somewhat nontypical driver, and can drive exactly as you did without the mods, you may see a fuel economy advantage with any one of a variety of performance products. However, most people use the extra power they install to one degree or another (human nature), which can reduce or eliminate any fuel economy advantage.

I think the jury is still out on whether performance products have any direct effect on injector life. Might - might not. smile.gif
