Howdy
My truck has no EGR and if I put in a mechanical boost control do I need my vac pump? Does anything else use the pump? What is the best turbo control for this application?
Thanks in advance!

If the vacuum pump is heading south I would just replace it, I think that sometimes its best to let the computer regulate the turbo boost. If your running a stock boost situation than use the stock setup. But as far as the operation of the vacuum pump, it only operates the turbo on a 99.

Hi there
Yes your AC Control uses vacuum to divert the cold air,at least is does on my P32 chassis.
-----------------
1996 Motorhome Winnebago Brave with a P32 chassis with a F engine smashed up last week by a Spanish driver in NW Spain, is repairable.
The vac pump only works the turbo , ac controls are electric.
If you take off the vac pump use a belt for a 92 6.2 (serp.)
