Brokers---Had any major problems with your new D/A? Are you running any power enhancements on them? Thanks for the updates. Glad to see our trucks can get that kind of mileage out of them.

The Ford has just pulled the empty trailer back and forth from getting set up.208mi on her. She heads up north monday for her first run.

She has also been to the dealer with some cold start roughness.

So far the D/A are running with only the exhaust opend up for performance.The trucks are very reliable,just the usual maintenance and preventative replacements.
No head issues. No injector issues.

03 F-550 no start in 15f weather this afternoon . Shees at the dealer ! Turn over but no fire? plenty of smoke from both tailpipes?Specialist to work on her on sunday. Shes taken maiden 4500mi vouyage on monday.She better haul (4 at the time Big as$ trailer to pull,32000lbs sticker on the doors!)Vettes come monday! :mad: May have to send a D/A to cover!OH, always something!

If you follow the Ford site there has been some cold start problems and Cold rough idle.....Ford has yet to figure it out a fix according to their Oasis (?) reports.....Send the Fords south where it's warm,Duramax which is an all climate truck to the tundra.....

Mac, i'll send that (wh)ORD south so fast it wont know what hit the throttle! Seen the posts , but i don't listen to winers!I get it first hand ,because i buy and sell a few vehicles! Believe me, i get service! :cool:

The D/A's cant pull the new style trailer that i bought for the F-550! And the C-5500 (Savanna) does not turn my fiddle!

Tom,
So how did the western hauler body turn out? Shame about the Furd not starting. I've fired my D-max up at -23 without being plugged in. Truck didn't like it but it ran better after a few minutes.

mac(AL)mav(JEFF), Got the truck picked up this morning!They got it running sunday,but they needed to talk to sombody today so they kept it another nite.They called us at 10.30 and said it was ready to go . I bring a driver with me and down we go,they tell us that they could find nothing wrong with it and that it fired right up after the wrecker brought it in.
Well its off and running into some real cold weather in the Canadian Maritimes.We'll see how it goes.Where is that rabbits foot?

Jeff the Western hauler turned out real nice.They have to load 4 units on the trailer tomorrow and i hope the hydraulics on the trailer likes the cold temps.I worry about unit #1 falling off the ramp and either nailing the truck or unit#2 underneath it .Truck and trailer are both black with polished aluminium rims.It's lettered to match the D/As. Artic cat colors would be the best way to describe it.

I heard my neighbor a few mornings ago when the temp was in the low 20's grinding on his late model F**d trying to start it. It took 3 series of start attempts to get it to start. My D/A never hesitates and it is never plugged in.

TBC, try pluggin it in and see how much better it is. No sense doing damage every morning for the few pennies it costs to keep it warm. Better yet, a timer to kick on about 2 hrs. before you need to start it.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be in line to buy a easy attached system from someone like Kennedy if he has one that works but I'm just wondering why everyone assumes it's needed.

Hey all you cold weather diesel owners, you should install an oil pan heater! I bought one from NAPA and they work great. As a matter of fact, you don't even need to use your block heater anymore because the warm oil heats up your entire block!
