If I put 17" wheels on my truck, will that effect how the transmission shifts? Other than speedo and mileage being off any other problems with doing this. Or am I getting into something that is better left alone?
Thanks..Mark

Should be fine if your outside tire diameter doesn't change much, e.g. if your go with 16" 285, 75s the outside Diameter is around 31.5". You could go with 17" 285, 70's ( Not as much Tire wall) and it will be about the same overall tire diameter. I wish I had gone with the 17" rim, there are some new 17" rims that look really NICE! Just watch out for the wieght rating of the 17" rims and tires, I found a few to be much too low than I required!
I also had the dealer reprogram my truck for 31" ( closest size in the programmer) tires and it's shifts and the ABS breaks are almost back to normal.
Good Luck!

I have been considering changing to a 17" rim as well. Take a look on ebay. There are several companies selling hummer takeoff rims. They look pretty sharp. Price for 4 rims chromed are about $900, $400 unchromed.

Rich.....Thats just the wheels I'm looking at..the chrome ones. Just don't want to screw up too much other stuff in the process.
