Exhaust Temp

What is an upper limit I should allow my exhaust temp to get under heavy sustained pull on a hill or long pull

I SAY 1200 MAX AND LEVEL 2 ON NORMAL JUICE LEVEL 1 ON HOT..............STAY ON THOSE JUICE LEVELS AND ACCORDING TO EDGE YOUR OK..........HEY KENNEDY/MAC AM I RIGHT HERE? :D DAVE

Depends if your probe is pre or post turbo.
1300 pre?? 1100 post??

I think pre turbo that's a good base line to go with.....

1300 would be the exact max....One could always feather the throttle,and not play race to the top,dragging a trailer......

Of course we aren't talking "spikes" but you guys hauling shouldn't pay no never mind to that,because SAFETY first,right Dave..... tongue.gif

Applecore's EGT probe is pre-turbo, in the passenger side manifold (ALA Hoot, as we called it).

1300-1350 would be a good safe number.
