View Full Version : Increased tire noise at 8K?
I've notice over the last 1000 miles or so an increase in rolling tire noise. Anyone else experience similar increase noise with wear? I'm rotating for the first time this weekend, so maybe that will help.
I noticed my factory steeltex got noisier--but only when I got 35-40000 on them. They were getting due for a change. Put new tires on and noise went away, so I'm sure it was the tires. Maybe they are out of balance or maybe you have a bad tire.
My Steeltex also got noiser as they aged. There was also an additional noise on turns from the edges of tires. I changed mine out at 10kmi for Michelin X Radial LT's and so far (with 7kmi) they have been very smooth riding and quiet. smile.gif

My tires recently got louder as well with 7500 miles on the,
Might have something to do with doing some power braking . . . .
Thanks for the responses. It is nice to know it is nothing out of the ordinary.
