top speed recorded with gps of 119mph, i run 285*75*16 tires, love the speed, like the old days, a kid once again :D :D

it seams to be the rev limiter,around 3400rpm

Another 350 RPM or so should have you around 130mph. I would be interested to see how fast it could go. Almost needs an ultra overdrive! :eek:

U.S. Gear may have a 20% overdrive for a 4x4 D/A 2500HD by early next year. It is supposed to fit between the Allison and the transfer case, but it appears the two are bolted together now!!! I am waiting for more specs. This is an alternative for going with larger tires to get speeds at lower rpm without having to be concerned with cranking torsion bars, or timming plastic, etc.

after calling tirecraft, they said d light duty tire is rated for 106mph :rolleyes:
