oil seperater

Has any one heard of a oil seperater on the durmax. I have oil coming down the front passenger side of the engine and was told my oil seperater was full and needed to be clean. It is a maintenace item according to them and want 80 bucks. I will check my manuals tonight but wonder if anyone has heard of this or done it.

Does that service come with a free bag of muffler bearings? :D Never heard of an oil separator on our trucks. Some have complained that oil comes out the vent, but not sure where exactly that is. How's your oil level?

was it you that installed an extension hose to vent the oil smell away from the cab? By the way, thanks for the weather report! It snowed all night...

No not me on the extention ,I switched to a less "odor-some" oil.......

No problemo on the weather report.. ;) ... Just when you said "snow' I said "no" cause I'm not ready....You are I'm sure being in the Wilderness ,God's country,you gotta like the snow......Best of luck,toss a snow ball for me .......
