Hi all I just got my 2002 2500HD D/A crew cab about four weeks ago. I have only filled it up 4 times and seem to be getting only around 14.5 mpg. I am guessing that this is normal and mpg will go up as the truck breaks in. How long should I expect this to take not really working the truck and what has the mpg's been for all of you?

Thsnks

get about 1000 km on the engine and drivetrain, and then go and beat the **** out of the motor [manual trans works best, cause you can lug the motor, autos like to downshift]. go and pull something real heavy. high combustion pressures seat the rings real good. if you don't use the motor, you can get glazing on the rings [not sure if it applicable on the dmax, but on bigger OTR trucks, big issue] and then they will never seat.. :(
