My 1994 Chevy has always had a slow idle, 500-600 RPM even when cold. My 1995 GMC is what I consider normal 900RPM. How do I get my idle up on the 94 alittle? I'd like to get it around 900-950 RPM, especially on some of these cold morning warm ups.

I have read that K models do have a black wire when grounded from the pcm or ecm? will raise rpm up to where your 95 is running.
There is a post some where about this I have read.
Also I once had a higher rpm, alt. was changed out with a smaller then stock pully.
Did'nt know about the pully till the DP group informed me about the size of pully on our diesel.

Good Day!

In my fading memory, I thought a fast idle switch was an article in 2002, but can't find it listed in the 2002 article list. I'm pretty sure John Kennedy came up with this, but it's not in his Tech Tips. Anyone?

Blessings!
