new truck

hey all, picking up new truck on Monday. '04 3500 SLT CC dual wheel D/A LLY dark grey metallic. Going to miss my '02 though, its been an awsome truck.

Hey, I hear you! I just picked up an 04 last week, but passed my 02 down to the farm fleet - so I can still use it on occassion! I am anxious to get the 04 broken in and see how they compare to each other...

well, picked up the new truck yesterday, and all i can say is WOW :D
some nice improvements over my 02, and of course cheaper in areas aswell, overall satisfied.
best part is the steering doesn't rattle...

thought of a question, i noticed the tach in my 04 reads about 150-200 rpm higher then my 02 except at idle, there it reads about the same.here is what i have
02 @65 read between 18-1900, 70@2000
04 reads 2000 and 70@2200, anyone else notice this??

well finally figured out the rpm differece. The best I can figure the truck has 4.10 gear using a gear ratio calculator, looks like a trip to the dealer

anyhow had the truck at the dealer, and road tested with tech 2.. the tach in the cluster was 200 RPM higher than the tech 2..ipc out of calibration..which lead me to beleive the truck had 4.10 gears.. all is great smile.gif
