dash trip computer?

Any one notice the dash trip computer NEVER shows the correct amout of fuel you burn? I have 12,000 miles on my LLY truck and every tank of fuel the trip pc shows about 1~1.3 gallons less then I put in the tank! How is it that GM take the time to put the software in these truck but they missed the mark (atleast on my truck) .... I use 3 differnt places to get fuel so I dont think ALL 8 of the pumps are off! they get checked every year for calibration and there in differnt towns so its not the same person checking them! :rolleyes:

Yes, I have noticed the same thing.

This also affects the Miles per Gallon calculation. My DIC indicates 0.25 - 1.0 mpg MORE than when calculated by hand.

Same Here. I'm off sometimes 2 gallons. doesnt seem to matter if it is a long trip or short in town driving. I asked them at the dealer and they were of little help. My 99 yukon was dead on everytime.
