Dodge unveils 'Mega Cab'
Chicago Auto Show starts Friday
(02/10/05)-- DaimlerChrysler has introduced a new and even larger Dodge pickup truck.
The 2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab debuted today at the Chicago Auto Show.
The automaker says it hopes the new full-size pickup will reverse its sales decline in the highly competitive and profitable category.
DaimlerChrysler says the pickup offers the industry's largest cab, which is big enough for six adult passengers.
They say it stretches more than a foot longer than Ford's F-250 Crew Cab.
The full-size pickup category has grown from five to 12 entries since 1995, and sales have increased more than 50 percent during the same period.
