JB:
Has anyone with the Mega and the bleed port for the air problems turned in samples for testing and if so were they as good as expected?

Denny,

Good question! The last two sets of test results added to the table were for JK's latest Mega Filter but I'm not sure if the filter heads had the revised bleeder nipple.

Hopefully JK will chime in here...

I believe that Steve's unit has the bleed port as he had air problems initially.

I should also add that he has a prototype full synthetic media element on his truck. Not that the Baldwin wasn't doing it's job, just testing a different media. The Baldwin will remain the std filter for it;'s availability, drain, and water stripping capabilities, and the new unit will be something of a "Super Mega" or "Ultra Mega" filter. The Super version elemnts will be quite pricey though...

Those are some pretty amazing results for the Mega. You said that he has a different filter on his, can you elaborate?

Still in testing, but it is a full synthetic media unit. It lacks a drain, and water stripping coating, but filters amazingly well.

The post is different, and the head needs a groove cut to retain the seal as the filter has no seal. It basically butts the can rim against a seal that is embedded in the head...
