There have been a few who have defeated the EGR. It depends on the model year, but you should be able to find some discussion here using the search function.

The EGR valve that had been discussed in disconnecting is located where? I can see the EGR tube that is being cooled. I assume the plug is underneath the air intake tube coming from the air filter? Its mounted on the end of a solenoid looking device (four pin plug).

I called JK and this is what he suggested. Any other thoughts?

What is actually gained by unpugging it? What's the benefit?
