Engine Problem

A few days ago I came to a stop after about 2 hours of towing and my truck died when I tried to go again. Restarted it and if I gave it very much pedal it would try to die. I shut it of for a while and haven't had anymore troubles with it. I know the fuel filter is due to be changed but I drove it about 2000 miles after it died with no problems. Any ideas on what caused it to die?

How many miles on the filter? My truck seemed to take a little longer to start. I changed the filter this morning and I think it helped. Mine only had 10.5K on it. Later! Lone Eagle :D

Brian,
You might want to change the fuel filter ASAP. I read a couple days ago where a member here had one come apart internally.
You may have had high diff. pressure that caused stalling then damage to the filter. :D
