Fuel filtration

Talking to Racor costumor service, they say the new filter is rated 98% four micron. Any body knowes what are the fuel filtration rate for filters used for dodge and ford diesel engines.,

What they are rated for and how well they perform are two different things. The first release Racor I believe was touted as having the same ratings you quoted. Now there is a dual layer media as the single layer was not up to the task.

As for the Ford and Dodge filters, I doubt they are much different ratings wise. All of these ratings are based on flowing the fuel through the media several times. Trapping more the first time is the best and having a filter in place after the OE just makes sense.
