93 surging at idle

I have a 93 W/MECHANICAL IP, I just installed a new motor, rebuilt pump, and rebuilt injectors. The engines idles fine for a momment, then it starts to surge from normal idle to about 1300RPM. It will surge for a few minutes, then returns to normal for a while then it surges again. PLEASE HELP??????????? :(

Sounds like you have air in the system.

A quick way to check: buy a 2nd fuel cap and drill and install a tire valve, then use it to pressurize your tank to 8-9psi and check the following for fuel leaks:

1. All of your fuel supply lines
2. Fuel filter(s)
3. IP throttle shaft seals
4. IP return line

If any of these leak fuel under pressure, then they'll very likely draw air in over night.

Also, check your lift pump to be sure it's providing at least 5.5psi.
