Anyone know what a K3500 D/A, regular cab, white, dually, cab/chassis should cost?

I was quoted ~30K today for an unsold 2005 from a local dealer. That seems high to me for bench seat, matt floor, no box, etc.

You would think that they should be 26K in a plain-jane, unfinished configuration!

Does anyone have a local dealer with a large inventory of this type of work truck body? If so, please send me their URL and I'll do some comparison shopping.

Any experienced cost estimates or perpectives appreciated!

Thanks Turbo for the insite. Comparisons always help.

I have 'shopped' two local dealers with the same method below. Dealer #1 has located a 2005 K3500 D/A (LLY, 5spd auto), Dealer #2 has located a 2006 K3500 D/A (LLY, 6spd auto). Options lists are very similar - power windows and doorlocks, AM/FM/CD, bench seat, matt floor.

My first question: What is your cash price?

Dealer #1 (2005 with rebate) - $30K
Dealer #2 (2006 no rebate) - $34K

Second question: What is trade difference between this and my 2005 K2500HD with 18K miles in 'like new' condition?

Dealer #1 - Trade diff is your truck PLUS 3K. (Meaning they are offering me 27K in trade.)

Dealer #2 - Um, gee, I dunno, let me check with my manager.

My response: "Tell your sales manager I'll trade him straight up, but he should be writing me a check for $500!"

Dealer #2 response: Ummm, okay...I'll pass that along.

(To Be Continued...)

What do you guys think the trade diff should be from a 2006 K3500 white, reg cab, work interior, dually cab/chassis and a 2005 K2500HD, LS interior, blue, crew cab short box with 18K miles?
