We were on our way to Columbus OH and stopped for some coffee at 6am at a station off of I-57 and when I came outside a guy was standing there and said "Is that your truck?" I replied "yes."
He said he had a Duramax and it wouldnt go over 2000 rpm then die..I asked him how many miles he had on it and he said 70,000..
We were in a hurry so I showed him where the fuel filter was and the drain..Then told him he might have to wait till the GM dealer opened near there , he was only about 10 miles from it..
He said thanks and off we went..
My question is..Does that sound like a fuel filter problem? I would guess the truck had never had the filter replaced, ever..
I wish I could have done more for him , but we had alot of driving ahead of us..750 miles..
Oh, I bought fuel in Indiana at SuperJ for 1.36$ per..Filled both tanks.. smile.gif 19.2 MPG.. smile.gif
