Engine looses Prime

I posted a question 3-19-03 about my truck loosing prime. The dealer just took it in and has a facrory rep changing the fuel sensor. I dont know what else. Will post when they get it fixed. Still got to love that Duramax. :D

Thanks for the update. I'm curious about what they find. I have re-bled my fuel filters a few times and there is always a little air (or vacuum?) before the fuel flows out the bleeder. I have never had problems starting, even with the truck sitting idle most of the week (only gets driven on the weekend).

I think that in time, we will find that there is a LOT more of this going on than we realize...

John, Maybe thats a product idea, an auto-primer. I guess you could use a "handi-vac" to prime the system rather than the slow hand pump.
