Gauge Wiring

What color wire off the dimmer should I use for the gauges? My stereo uses an orange dimmer wire, but the headlight plug has two of them, with different size wire. Let me know what you all think.

If you have an 01-02', you can tap into the ILLUM fuse on the drivers side fuse panel. This will dim the lights then. Easier than messing with the light switch. If you got an 03'.....can't help ya.

I do have an 02. Does anyone else know the wire color? I tried looking through a manual but I am not so good with multiple page wiring diagrams.

If need to get it done right away, use a test light. Stab a wire and dim the lights. I'm sure you'll find it.

For the 2002, try the bottem wire on the Instrument Panel Cluster Dimmer Switch, terminal K, which is a Dark Green, 18 gauge wire. This is what feeds your Instrument Panel lights.
