Injecter pumps

As I have been doing alot of research on the Duramax by reading anything and everything that I can find, I have seen some things on the injecter pumps leaking or "failing". I assume this was on the early 2000 models and that this has been resolved...Am I correct in this assumption or are they still experiencing this problem on a regular basis?. Your input will be greatly appreciated. smile.gif

I don't have any numbers to offer on failure rate, but I can tell you that most injector pumps that are replaced on diesel engines are just fine. Misdiagnosis.

Since the Duramax didn't come out till the 2001 model year I doubt there's anything to report on the early "2000 models" as you stated.

I have heard and read about a few legitimate injector pump replacements... mostly for leakage. The Bosch injector pumps are the finest in the world and I'm sure that Bosch won't allow bad pumps to continue for any length of time (if the early ones were in fact bad).
