Does anyone know how much it would be to buy the bucket seats and center console to change out the 40/20/40 seats to buckets on a 2002? Probably won't be cost effective but might make the wife happy.
You would do well to locate a conversion company, and get a set of takeouts, but watch the prices, as they are sometimes as much or more than brand new.

I think you first need to goto a dealership and look at an LT to see what the floor mounts look like compared to yours. I am 99% sure GM sets these up the same.
Next thing: Look for a junk yard and get the buckets outta there. Matching interior might be tough, but there are ways around that of course.

Of course your post begs the question: Why would your wife be happier with a console separating the two of you, when a split bench would allow her to cuddle up?

MountainMax- That's what I'm talking about. But she keeps saying that she like the fact that with the buckets the people in th back hav a A/C vent.
Alli-Max- Don't want the LT (leather) just the buckets in cloth. Although they are probably the same seats with different coverings.
Try this thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?s=3d0a2f524214ffff;act=ST;f=3;t=2810 ;hl=bench+seat. It's not the post I am looking for but that forum has had posts about doing the conversion you're looking to do. If my memory is right the console from GM is around $175.00 and it bolts into your current seat holes. Gotta go vacation is calling.
