Welding on my truck

What do I need to do to weld the down pipe bracket on my truck. Does the computer need to be unhooked, both batteries disconnected or just the grounds? Any help would be great.

The dealer wouldn't touch it cuz my truck is straight piped. Go figure!

unhook both grounds and weld on brother ;)

I had to weld the 5th wheel hitch brackets to the frame on my 03. I just grounded to the frame and welded them on. I dont suppose it would hurt to disconnect the grounds from the batteries.
I just made sure I had a good ground for the welder.

I suppose it would be on the safe side to unhook both batteries, but I don't know if I would have thought about it if I was welding something.

The bracket is welded, I am surprised at how much noise it created.
