Don't know about the 2500.
OTC Genisys, Vetronix Mastertech, GM Tech 1 or 2 (or now I understand the new Tech 3 is out), and SnapOn scanners are all bi-directional. The Vetronix is the same as Tech1-2 series (except it covers other brands besides GM), and is the easiest type to use. The OTC & SanpOn scanners also cover multile brand vehicles depending on software.
Earlier versions of the OTC scanner were also bi-directional (4000 for sure, maybe the 3750 as well) and the 2500 might have been too.

If it has a screen to enter the year & vin code or year & engine, it should have the TDC offset somewhere in its repertoire.
My Vetronix does it by cycling the TDC offset up by small increments (till it reaches its max of 2.02) then down by the same increments, then up, then down till I choose one; I hit <enter> when it cycles to -1.84 (or whatever value I am experimenting with).

Freddy probably not a TDC offset function in the OTC, my Snap-On MT2500 has only time set which is different than TDC offset I have a procedure you can try which I have used on mine successfully get with MP for my email, and I can send to you highlights of the procedure I use are here:
