My truck acquired a surge at idle when warm about
3 months ago. The dealer told me a 100rpm variance
was normal,no codes on the Tech II therefore nothing wrong. They verified this with GM and assigned a case # to it. I talked to JK,who filled me in on the Bosch pump sticky valve thing, and
went back to the dealer last Thurs., with a post
from DMax-Man,defining the whole pump and lopey
idle issue. The service Mgr. told me it was the pump, but when he found the previous history and
case # in my file he gave me the same lame diagnosis and refused to perform any diagnostics
on the pump, saying the Diesel Page is nothing more
than a chat room with backyard mechanics. After a
1/2 hour on the phone with GM I realized I was
wasting my time.Was I f***ing ****ed!!!!
Anyone who has had a pump replaced because of this
problem, please e-mail me direct with the dealers
name and address,so I can gather some ammo to fight this. Thanks,Karl francis@bbv.net
