$2800 Dollar price jump for 2003's

Was just talking to a deal here in California that said the 2003's will get a health price jump of $2800!!!! :eek: :eek:
Has anyone else heard this? Or was he just feeding me some line?

D-n-Tyke Me thinks he was blowing smoke. I have a 03 on order but the dealerships has not gotten the price increase from GM yet :D But if your right and I'm wrong boy an I going to be PO'ed :mad:

Which dealer did you talk to?

When I was shopping around, the dealer that seemed to be the most knowledgible regarding both the '02s and the '03 was Quality Chevrolet (Phil Munday does Fleet and GM BuyPower) in Escondido.

Mossy Chevrolet, in Encinitas, has 4 2500 Crew Cab Long Bed Duramax/Allisons on their lot right now and were willing to deal.

Anyway, I lived in OB (on the cliffs) and Mission Beach (on Bayside Dr) for several years. It really is too bad that I am a sucker for $$$ and was lured to LA by a significant increase in salary.

I really miss the San Diego attitude and having a longer walk to my garage than the beach. Not to mention the women. Oh the women... :eek:

SoCalDieselNewbie- Yeah they have four but they are all leather. Can't do leather in a truck.

rvforfun- Yeah I know about Buckles Motors only wish I had had the money about six months ago. All the trucks threw Buckles are orders and you can only order 2003's now. No Avalance for me. Yuck....

Another California guy here...Just up north a bit but lots of relatives in San Diego...

I was speaking with a friend who works at Carl Chevrolet in San Jose where I ordered my truck from. I asked him what's new on the 03's other than the front end dealio...He said...Nothing much really but the price jump he had heard was steep...But GM has not yet released numbers. NorCal Region manager had coughed up that bit of info...
I said so let me get this straight. Virtually no changes in motor or tranny. Interior is the same. The front clip is stolen from the Avalanche Then if you live in California you pay HUGE taxes and for California emmissions...!!!...HOLY COW

I sure hate when any company offers a new product and it is a hot seller so they jack the prices...

On the same subject line, I have a friend just bought a new Mini Cooper. He had been on the waiting list for 4 months, he paid $3,200 MORE than list. This is like the Miata and when the original ZR1 vette came out...CRAZZZZZY MAN...Just flat crazzy...

If I hear of any actual numbers, I will let you know.

I like a big front end on trucks (women too :D ). Don't care much for the new look. They look ok on the cady. should have left them there.

Here are a few numbers and trucks they have in stock w/sticker price.

You can use GMBuyPower, w/ provided zip codes, to see the sticker itself for all the options and etc...

If you want a Black, Green, Blue, Red or Grey; you better hop on them... In the couple of days, I noticed that a Black, Green, Red and 2 Greys have been sold. Pewter & White are VERY easy colors to come by.
