I'm finishing up the 6.5 turbo, serpentine belt, high flow cooling mods on my truck and have a few questions that i can't seem to remember. What do i need to do for the fuel return line, neither of the ones i have (93 and 86) seem to work with the dual cross over housing. What year/part number do i need? What upper radiator hose do i need to use. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
The easiest thing to do on the return line is cut it where it doesn't fit and splice in a rubber hose. It will work fine. The upper hose is for a 97 or newer 6.5.

I was able to bend the old return line to fit
w/out cutting. It took some time to figure it out.

I was able to bend the fuel line enough to make clearance for the cross over manifold. The GM part number for the upper hose is 15977350. Since my thermostat housing on my 93 is altered to fit the mechanical injection pump I had to cut off 2-3 inches on the thermostat side of the hose to make the hose fit.

A newer fuel return harness won't work in your application because of a difference in accessory brackets.

The best solution is to simply work the steel line with your hands, carefully bending the original steel line to fit. Cover any areas of the steel line with rubber hose or electrical wiring loom where rubbing might occur.
