Hey guys, I've dropped a deposit on a 02 GMC SLT CC D-max/alli 4x4 but one thing is bugging me. It has a RPO code for Northeast emmisions for NY, CT, VT ect. Does it mean that this one has a converter and other power robbing devices?

Thanks

Soon they will all have them ...... I thought 03 would be the year of converter and EGR for all .... Guess not ........ Will have to be like the D/C guys now . Now trading up..... Easier to bomb . No emission crap ...... ETC.....

Cool, I just got off the phone with the salesman and he's checking into it for me. I won't hold my breath though. :D

Ok guys, I've been snooping around trying to find out more on this NORTHEAST emissions label. It turns out that to be certified to sell in NY, VT,MA and ect. they all have to meet CA emmissions standards. If it's not CA cerified you can't sell it up there. So I guess my new truck is going to have a converter.... D*mn!!!

oneton I would bet that if its not a state that touches CA its a federal spec truck and a 2002 will have NO cat or egr !!! Bombing will be quite easy! a simple phone call 1600.00 dollars and you have one of the fastest oil burners your friends willever get a ride in ! :D
