What are these updates?

I am new to the forum, but trying to catch-up and learn about my new Dmax. Several posts have mentioned "dealer fixes, updates, and computer flashing." What are these and what should I ask from my service department?

Markm,
First and foremost understand that I do not own a D-Max (yet), but rather a '98 Suburban with 6.5TD. However, if not mistaken, if you approach most service departments within the GM line of D-Max's (Chevy, GMC), most of them will have not a clue what you are referring to (If it runs true to upgrades and improvements as on the 6.5TD's). I'm still educating Tech's and SM's at to what a FSD Cooler is and the extended pump warranty.

Stick around the Diesel Page, become a member if your not one yet. You will learn more than most minds can comprehend. The help and advice will flow like Niagra Falls. Contact some of the advertisers, they are all willing to help a fellow DP memeber.
