Got beat by an LLY

A friend just bought an LLY x-cab shorty 2 weeks ago. After looking over it for 2 hours, I suggested we run that LLY, to see what it can do :D :D . So I turned off my juice to make it fair :rolleyes: . A co-worker was a spotter and said we both left the same, but he had me all the way :( . We ran up to about 60 mph, by then, I graciously ended that contest, as he was a solid 1.5 truck lengths ahead. He was sure happy smile.gif He has about 700-800 miles on his bone stock truck. One thing is for sure that Garret turbo spools faster than mine even with AFE II and JK's 4-5" exhaust.

I wonder what the LLY juice will bring....

In my defense I have 285's compared to his 245's plus I have a lot of added weight, nerf bars, brushguard......

It would be nice to compare the 2 in a more controlled setting like at the track.

I just noticed the banner here showing 18hp and 30ftlbs with the AFE, that with the exhaust I should have waxed him :confused:

I don't think an air filter adds any performance. Any added air is shuttled out the wastegate. But even with the Juice on 0 you should out horsepower the LLY - the big diff is the tires

I wonder how much you would of gained with the juice on? Interesting test to say the least.
