View Full Version : 12.00@112.28 mph video of the Duramax
At T-N-T this past weekend I ran my fastest trap speed ever and my best runs at US131 MSP. My best ET ever was last fall at Lapeer Dragway (11.95).
Here is the video of my 12.00 run against a late 60's Chevelle (http://bbar10.com/Tomac/TomacDuramax12.00@112.28.mpeg)

Amazing, what is your estimated HP/Torque? What is your max boost achieved?
How much does your truck weigh?
hp/tq ???
max boost on fuel 27psi
max boost w/nitrous 30+ psi
6500# race weight
6900-7000# in street trim

Fantastic run, Michael! You were on the NOS, right? Looks like you get a "puff" of black smoke between the light and 60 feet and then she's burning "clean and mean" nearly all the way to the traps. No wheel spin, either - 4 wheel drive?
Gotta love the shift point exhaust puffs. Keep it going Michael.
RWA
Those passes were on nitrous. The truck runs 12.5 on diesel only

Micheal,
How much weight could you (did you) remove, and what effect did that have on ET?
Thanks....
MP

Hi Micheal,
Just did a search and turned up this calculator:
[URL=http://www.fastcoolcars.com/hp_calculator.htm]
According tho this your truck is making the following.
Engine flywheel HP = 913.3
Rearwheel.......HP = 730.6
Hope this is close cause WOW!!!
Nice work on your truck   :D
good luck,
Chris
MP, better yet - "My tow rig is faster than your race car"
technician, that's at least 100hp high.
Micheal,
So when is the roll cage going in?
Do you run at an NHRA or AHRA track?
Great times by the way!
Any more dips down into the 11's like last fall?
not sure when I'll put a rollbar in the truck
I race with the DHRA, their rules mirror the NHRA so I can't run below 12.00 w/o a rollbar
my local track is IHRA but I haven't ran any TNT there since late april

Mike,
Wondering if u had the opportunity to see what your 0-60 times were? I search through the forums and saw other folks but didnt spot anything from you. Just curious...thx
I haven't used a g-tech or similar device to check out 0-60 mph times.
I've calculated 0-60 mph using a few different calculators on the internet and I've come up with 0-60 mph in 3.37-4.22 seconds

Micheal, you might look into this as you might be able to run down to 11.5 now without a roll bar (at NHRA tracks). Only issue I see is the nitrous system (not legal), but propane is.
