What are you guys getting for mileage out of your trucks? I'm looking at going long haul driving, and want to get a Duramax / Allison 1 ton 4wd. This job would require me to put about 200K miles a year on the truck. I will not be buying new, hopefully something with around 100K miles on it or less. What are the problem issues on these trucks? I heard injectors, but they're covered to 200K. I had also heard 01's had head problems, and flywheel problems. Is that true? Would I be OK with an 01 truck, or should I get an 02 or newer? I don't want to have to buy a Cummins, which is what most of the guys there run. Thanks!

I have 3 for sale. Let me know what you want. I have done 185,000 hard, hard, stacked chips, dragstrip, overloaded towing, DID I SAY HARD MILES?? on a 2001. See my signature and tell me what you want. I am ready to buy 3 new 05's. 200,000 miles a year is impossible if you run log books. We get about 150,000 miles a year max.

What do you do Rick? The guy I was talking to told me 16,000 miles a month is max... I would also be usint the truck for personal use as well. When did they start making 1-ton single rear wheel truck?
