Question Cabin filter on a '96?

While doing some checks on my 04 Civic, I checked the cabin filters. With only 55K on the car they were gross. Bugs dirt seeds and other stuff I did not recognize. I changed them out and started to wonder if my '96 has a cabin filter. I looked in manuals and to where I can see and to my best guess it does not appear to have a cabin filter; am I correct?
    Thanks
    Jim
