just bought a new 2005 Chevy 2500HD Duramax which came with Bridgestone LT245/75/16 load range E highway tread tires. I am contemplating replacing these tires with some 265's. My 32'Jayco TT (9000 lbs loaded) has 225/75/15 load range D Marathons on it. My question is: Would the Bridgestone LT245/75/16 tires be a good replacement on my Jayco if I switched to 16" rims.I have enough room between the tires. The Marathon's have worked fine on 1000 mile trips, but next year I'll be taking a 8000 mile trip and the Marathons have me worried.

I think that would be a very smart move. The Martathons have been bad news. I lost 2 caps on mine in 3,000 miles before changing to Steeltex.Haven't had a failure in over 10,000 miles.
