I would like to have a talk with the designer on the radio system...
but what I have found is a few youtube videos by the same guy pulling his dash cover,
looks to be a job anyone with a sailors vocabulary can do here's one of the links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXs9uECjsuk
it turned out to be an easy removable job..I didnt follow all the steps in the video. just the dash bezel and pillar posts need to be removed before removing the 6-7
screws holding the dash cover.
It seems that automotive design (all brands) has been shifting away from serviceability for quite some time. Nowadays, more mechanics are lifting the cabs when these diesel engines need serious work, and what should be simple tasks require major disassembly to get to the part. I watched a video a week or so ago about a simple sensor replacement on a Dodge Ram gas engine, that had an 8 hour shop time associated with it. Over a hundred bolts/nuts/screws and a truck bed full of panels had to be R&R'ed.
